Santana Orozco
Coach at Transcend
- Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC)
Santana grew up in Rio Rancho, and went to school all 4 years at Rio Rancho High school, where I played soccer, basketball and track. I went to Trinidad State Junior College where I played both basketball and soccer. I was able to further my career at Eastern New Mexico University. My specialties include strength training for both youth and adult athletes, rehabilitation-focused exercise, and basic nutritional guidance to support overall health and performance. I enjoy staying active through a variety of activities such as playing sports, swimming, walking my dog, and engaging in different types of workouts. I’ve learned that being healthy and active isn’t limited to time in the gym—it’s about moving your body every day and feeling better at the end of it. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized the importance of functional movement and enjoying the process rather than just chasing numbers in the gym.The most rewarding part of my job is helping people achieve their fitness goals and witnessing the transformation it brings to their confidence, health, and I’ve been involved in sports my entire life and continue to stay connected through coaching. I coach both soccer and basketball at the middle and high school levels and was honored to receive the 2024 Coach of the Year award from Capital High School Women’s Soccer. With over eight years of competitive coaching experience, I’m passionate about giving athletes a voice—especially those who may have felt unheard before.
