Transcend Family,
This past weekend, our coaching team traveled to Austin, Texas for the 2nd Speed Summit, powered by the Universal Speed Rating (USR). We had the privilege of learning directly from some of the top leaders in the field—Brian Kula, Les Spellman, Dan Foley, Tim Riley, and Ariana Luther.
We didn’t just go to learn drills; we went to strengthen the way we serve your athletes. Here are the three biggest lessons we brought home to Transcend:
1. Relationships Come First
While precise training is critical, what truly drives growth is the relationship between our coaches and athletes. When kids feel supported and connected, they push harder, show up consistently, and enjoy the process more. We Value each and every one of our athletes here at Transcend.
2. Sprinting is the Key to Speed
There’s no substitute for sprinting itself. If an athlete wants to get faster, sprinting must be the priority. We’ll continue to ensure every training session keeps the main thing the main thing. Speed development will always be at the forefront of how we train our athletes to prepare for the demands of sport.
3. Simplicity Builds Mastery
The most important gains come from keeping training clear and focused. Your athlete will thrive by mastering the fundamentals first, then building on that foundation. We will continue to hammer the fundamentals through repetitions to ensure our Athlete are the most proficient movers on the field or court.
Recognition Worth Celebrating
We’re proud to share that out of 200 speed labs nationwide, Transcend was recognized as the #1 facility for the most athletes improving their top speed by 2+ MPH or more. This is a direct reflection of your athlete’s hard work and your trust in us to guide their journey.
Thank you for being part of the Transcend family. Together, we’re helping your athletes unlock not just more speed—but more confidence, discipline, and joy in their sport.
